The Intent
What it set out to prove
Most jewellery portraits make the piece the subject and the person the stand. This study inverts it: the earring is barely in focus, and the image still sells it.
The Approach
How it was built
Pleated apricot silk against a painted pink ground, with vintage lace pulled across the frame as a foreground layer. Warm diffused light, no hard shadow. The rose enters from the side at the same height as the earring so the eye reads them as one gesture.
